The Voodoo Room is the second, smaller stage inside House of Blues San Diego. When the club was being built in 2005, the plans called for a stage in the restaurant area, and this is it. It holds about 250 people, which keeps everyone close to the band.
Finding the door
The Voodoo Room has its own entrance on the Fifth Avenue side of the building, under the marquee. The big Music Hall door and the box office are on the Sixth Avenue side. Two shows can run in the building on the same night, so check which room your ticket names before you get in line.
Map apps get you there with the building's Fifth Avenue address. The Fifth Avenue Trolley station, on the Blue and Orange lines, is at the end of the block on C Street.
Who plays here
The bills lean young and small. Indie and emo bands, singer songwriters, bedroom pop acts and rappers on smaller tours fill most weeks. Most of them end up on our alternative, pop and hip-hop pages.
Before you go
- House rules match the rest of the building. No re-entry, no cash, and at all ages shows anyone 18 or under comes with an adult.
- Age limits, door times and bag rules are set per show and printed on your ticket.
- The Gaslamp and the rest of the core are on our downtown page if you want a second stop.
