About San Diego Concerts

San Diego Concerts keeps one calendar for live music across San Diego County. Clubs in the Gaslamp and North Park, the big rooms in the Midway and Mission Valley, the bay front stages, the beach bars up the coast and the casinos inland all land in the same list, sorted by night.

Why one calendar

The county is big. A show in Solana Beach and a show in El Cajon are an hour apart on a bad traffic night, and the venues each keep their own calendars. Having them side by side makes it easier to plan a night, or to notice a band you like is playing somewhere you would not have checked. You can browse by neighborhood, by venue or by night with this week and the full calendar.

Where the listings come from

Every show comes from SeatGeek, our ticket partner. The calendar refreshes every week, and each show connects to its venue, its neighborhood and the genres it belongs to. Shows get added, moved and canceled all the time, so check the date and time on your ticket before you leave the house.

How the site pays for itself

Ticket links here are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission from SeatGeek at no extra cost to you. That keeps the site running. It has no say in which shows appear, since every show in the feed gets listed.

What we write and how

We write a guide for each venue that books shows on a regular basis, an intro for each kind of music and a short guide to each part of the county. Facts like opening years, former names, capacity and transit get checked against reliable sources first. When we cannot confirm something, we leave it out.

We are independent and not connected to any venue, promoter or box office. The contact page explains where to take questions about an order or a show.
